Ms. Holmes is currently a shareholder with The Center for Education Law, P.C., a private law firm, which limits its practice to the representation of schools in Oklahoma. Ms. Holmes was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1991 and has practiced education law since 1992. She represents school districts and career technology centers in a variety of areas including employment law, construction law, special education law, and litigation.
Ms. Holmes is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma School Board Attorneys Association, and the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys. Ms. Holmes has a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Wesleyan University and a Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She is admitted to practice in all of the state and federal courts of Oklahoma, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Holmes is an active community volunteer. She is a member of Class XX of Leadership Oklahoma City’s Signature Class and has served as an organizer and a presenter for Leadership Oklahoma City’s Education Day. She previously served on the Board of Directors of Possibilities, Inc. and was a member of the Junior League of Oklahoma City for a number of years.
